A pretty good weight-loss this week, and I’m happy enough to continue following the AVX Diet while I’m taking the Activ8 X Diet Drops. I’m sure it’s like one of the major slimming clubs (Slimming World, maybe? Which one has colour-coded days? I haven’t done that one.) but it also reminds me a lot of The Core Plan, where you get free foods and things cost points if they’re not on the free foods list.
I’m almost convinced, however, that my weight-loss this week is down to sweat. The weather has decided to make up for the fact that we had a shitty summer last year, and is bombarding us with ridiculous kinds of temperatures: I think we almost reached 30°C yesterday.
I’M SCOTTISH. ANYTHING ABOVE 10°C IS A HEATWAVE. /sarcasm. Kind of.
How I survive in Florida when I’m there is anyone’s guess.
But yeah, it’s pretty hot right now, and it’s sapping all of my energy. Even Roxie, my cat, is too hot, and is just flopping around the house. She’s too hot and tired to even chase the laser pen light. I know how you feel, Rox. Unfortunately, I can’t dose you up with caffeine, ’cause you’re a cat.
Me, on the other hand, I can. And I do. I just wish I knew how to make good at-home iced coffees, without making a huge mess, and without having to have my blender attachment in my fridge. :/ Need cold drinks. Yessss.
I know, I’m basically rambling right now.
I’ve got a wee sideblog project getting underway. I’ll link y’all up when it properly goes live. I’ll see how that goes.
For now, however, I have to go get my shoes on, and decide which shoulder-and-arm-covering I can put on that won’t boil me to death, so I can head into town and take my Mum to lunch.
