Weigh-in #2: January 8 2014

-4.5lbs since Jan 1 2013

Definitely a good start to the year, if it’s correct, but I’m starting to worry. My floorboards aren’t exactly the sturdiest, and I’m pretty sure that I’ve already said that I weigh myself in the living room, which has the thinnest cord carpet you can imagine in it.

What if my scales aren’t accurate because they’re on the carpet?

I’m going to take the scales into the kitchen next week. It’ll probably mean that my numbers’ll jump by about 20lbs, if my number’s not already accurate, but at least then it’ll be accurate, and then I won’t be wobbling about on the living room “floorboards” every time I’m weighing myself. Reason I haven’t been doing this already?

I never heat the kitchen. I have literally never turned the heater on in the kitchen.

And I weigh myself naked. First thing in the morning.

At least it’ll be a rude awakening, and I won’t feel like going back to my bed…

  1. Even if the number isn’t accurate, as long as you weigh yourself in the same place every time, the difference between weigh ins will be accurate. Either way you’ve lost 4.5lbs in a week! Go you!!

    1. Thanks, Elizabeth. 🙂 Hopefully the number won’t be too out-there! And even if it is, so long as I get back to this number without too much fuss, I’ll be fine with that. I just have to remember that it’s about more than the number on the scale, right?
