Weekly Weigh-in(s): October 26, 2010

Apparently, I didn’t post last week, which is pretty annoying, really, when I was pretty sure that I had.

Apologies for that. I logged in tonight to find the draft still sitting in WordPress going, “Hey, remember me? I’m the post you thought you’d finished and posted last week? Whatcha gonna do about me? Huh, huh?”

How embarrassing.

Last week was actually annoying: last week, I POINTed everything and tracked everything, stuck within my limits, etc, and my weight did this:

28st 4lbs

-15lb (6.80kg)
– 253lbs (114.76kg) to go

And I knew I’d had a good week!

But I didn’t get discouraged. It was only 2lbs. I’ve had worse weeks! I still wasn’t above 400lbs, I still wasn’t above 29st, and it was Linda’s wedding on Friday, so it’s not like I was going to blow the entire thing over 2 measly pounds.

Now, this past week has been odd:

1) Last week, I got the courage up to ask a girl I’ve known – and liked – for FOREVER, it seems like, to… is there an adult way to say “go out with me”? Ahaha. I am forever a 12-year-old Scottish girl. Anyway, like I said, I’ve known Janey for like 10 years, and we’ve always flirted with one another, and I got the courage up to ask her if she wanted to date, and she said yes and I couldn’t be happier, walking around grinning like a lunatic since last Wednesday night, and so after months of worrying that I’d be the only single person at the wedding, I may not have had a date, but I certainly wasn’t single.

(Yet another incentive to lose weight! I know you don’t care what weight I am, but we both want me to be healthy and happy with myself, so. ♥)

2) I didn’t track a single thing, I will admit that right off. I have had the headache from hell for most of the week, and the blaring music at the wedding didn’t help.

3) Linda got married.

I loved the wedding. Linda looked amazing, I went for the purple dress instead of the red one which meant that I could actually sit down all day instead of being squished into that red dress, and it just.

It was amazing.

My big sister is married, y’all.

I’m going to give y’all ONE PHOTO, because I still have to sort through over 400 photos, and there are only a few that are post-worthy at the moment, so here:

L-R: Mum, Lorna, Linda (bride), Greg (groom), Tracy (Fatso; me), Dad
(click for bigger!)

Now seriously, how amazing does Linda look? SO GORGEOUS. Greg doesn’t look too bad in his kilt, either!

Anyway, I think both Linda and I expected to go into the meeting this week with at least a pound or two gained – I mean, COME ON. We attended her WEDDING on Friday. Fully cooked restaurant meal? I had apple pie and tablet ice cream for dessert! I had PATΓ‰ on toast for starter! I DIDN’T EVEN HOLD BACK!

Admittedly, I did drink Diet Coke all night and only drank a little champagne that Mum let me have and a little that Linda MADE me drink, so that wasn’t too bad, but I ate something like three sausage rolls and two sandwiches’ worth of egg-mayo sandwiches and two slices of pizza! 3 favour boxes of tablet! 4 slices of cake!

I suppose we’ll have to see.

Anyway, I suppose y’all want to know how well we did this week, since neither of us gained.

Linda lost 0.5lbs ON HER WEDDING WEEK. (Congrats on both getting married and losing a half pound, Mrs Miller!)

And I…

27st 13lbs

-22lb (9.98kg)
– 246lbs (111.58kg) to go

Which also means:

Another Silver 7™, and my 5% goal, finally reached.

Linda should just get married every week. Weeks like this are awesome.

  1. OMG.

Seriously, people need to have weddings every week. That is fab!

And no, I don’t care how much you weigh. HEALTHY is my main thing.

*makes a bunch dumb noises here* <3

    1. *smooches*

Our leader, Stacey, even lost 5lbs this week! Honestly, it was just an amazing week! πŸ™‚

      *commits PDAs upon you* :3

  2. Congratulations to your sister on her wedding and to you on your loss! You looked fabulous – the purple really compliments the darker hair.

I'm so jealous that you're Scottish by the way! It means the men can wear kilts as formal wear and get away with it.

    1. Tara- I'll pass the congratulations onto my sister! πŸ™‚ It's weird that she's no longer one of us – the perils of having sisters that get married! No longer sharing the same surname! We'll always be sisters (cheesy!) but – odd! Different surname! It'll take me a while to get used to it. πŸ™‚

And thank you! I'm so glad I decided not to go with the red dress, especially after dyeing my hair back to black. I did like the blonde, but it was too much maintenance (and stress for my hair!) for my tastes.

AND YES. Men in kilts! I love the formal wear at weddings – all the guys who wore the full get-up looked fabulous. Luckily, the long socks covered up most pasty white and hairy legs! πŸ™‚

  3. WOW … brilliant result! and all of you look FAB! Its a lovely family piccy… well done on the 5% .. dead proud of you .. Doll

    1. Doll – Thanks! πŸ™‚ I can't wait to see the PROFESSIONAL photos – we're not looking at the camera there because we're looking at the official photographer, but my sister's gotta wait for him to do his thing! And thank you! I can't believe I weigh less than 28st again! THRILLED!

Lesley – Thank you! πŸ˜€ I looked at that photo and went, "Wow, I look like my mother!" but you can see my mother in that pic, and that's not a bad thing! I'm so happy about the weightloss, too. I'm still heading in the right direction, overall! <3

  4. I am so pleased for you! Plus, you look AMAZING in that photo, that's the best piccie i've seen of you.

Congrats on your 5% and your silver seven. And your date πŸ˜‰

    Have agreat week!
