I’m in so much pain this week, I’m not even surprised about the weight gain.

I came off of The Pill two weeks ago, and I’ve been expecting That Time Of The Month to hit me soon after I stopped taking it. And here it is.

I’ve been in agony since Saturday. Even codeine-painkillers aren’t helping. I’m on three different kinds of painkillers for my sciatica, and none of them help with the cramps. That’s how bad it is.

But my last week has been very, very quiet, and very, very painful.

I still have this tendinitis in my heel/foot/leg, making working on the elliptical painful, but I’m keeping it up anyway. I need to keep it up, or weeks like this will be worse.

Thing is, again, I’ve been watching what I’ve been eating, tracking (offline) in a notebook and keeping up my fruit intake, keeping up my water intake and keeping down my coffee intake.

But, because I’m off The Pill now and having my period, I am, yet again, back to retaining water like a pro, and my ankles are gargantuan right now.

So I’m hoping it’s water weight, and that I’ll get over this damn bump in the road sometime soon.

Maybe once my period’s over, I’ll feel less liable to kill things, and more likely to get out of my bed before 2pm.

  1. Hang in there. Pain's a pain and I'm sorry to hear you're suffering so much. I've got my fingers crossed that you'll feel better soon and able to do the stuff you want to do.

    1. Thanks, Cat. I'm just trying to work through the tendinitis, but it feels like I'm not able to put in the same amount of effort as I was before. With the period cramps… I'm just sleeping more, 'cause I'm not in pain when I sleep. 😉 The joys of being an unemployed bum.
