Last week, I was offered the chance to trial a week’s worth of Exante Diet [afilliate link!] products, and I know that The Exante Diet have really expanded their product line since the first time I did a week-long review of Exante Diet products.

So, for this entire week, I was doing a weekly vlog and then I had planned to do one big review (I’m writing this on Thursday, 24 September), but have decided to split the reviews up and post them on their respective days, with one collated review at the end.

Hazelnut Shake

The Hazelnut Shake has already been reviewed on day two, but here’s a copy & paste:

I had really been looking forward to the Hazelnut Flavour Shake, and I was pretty disappointed with it… which is disappointing. >:( Of course. It’s just not quite right. Again, the same problem as I had with the vanilla flavour shake: it’s just not quite sweet enough to carry the flavour. If it had been that little bit sweeter, it might have been better.

The consistency’s perfect, again, of course. Nice and smooth and milky.

Alas, just a ★★★☆☆/★★★★★ for the hazelnut flavour shake.

Blueberry Smoothie

PRAISE JEEBUS! And I don’t even believe in Jeebus. But I finally found a shake where I like both the taste and the consistency.

The flavour’s lovely – JUST sweet enough that all of the fruit flavour’s there, but nowhere near sweet enough to be sickly. It’s just PERFECT. And it’s lovely and thick, so it feels that bit more filling than the shakes, and I just… yes.

It’s lovely. I really, really liked it, and I was so happy when I finally go to it.

★★★★★/★★★★★ for you, Blueberry Smoothie. (You go, Blueberry Smoothie. But none for Gretchen Wieners. /Mean Girls)

Sausages

The Exante Diet Sausage were already reviewed on day four, but here’s a copy & paste:

I will straight up admit that I was grossed out by the thought of this before I’d even tried it. I visited a supermarket with my school when I was a kid, and they showed us how to pumped sausagemeat into skins, and while I love eating sausages, I hate handling sausagemeat. It’s just gross.

THAT SAID TAKE TWO!: I made the sausage “meat” into a hamburger patty shape by scooping the made-up mixture into the frying pan and pressing it down with the back of the turner. It cooks wonderfully, and is actually quite crumbly, spicy, and it really tasty.

I’m just disappointed there’s not more to it. GIVE ME MORE! GIVE ME ALL THE SAUSAGE MIX! 🙂
