Reverb 10 Prompt #20: Beyond Avoidance

Prompt: Beyond Avoidance
What should you have done this year but didn’t because you were too scared, worried, unsure, busy or otherwise deterred from doing? (Bonus: Will you do it?)
(Author: Jake Nickell)

As I mentioned yesterday, I didn’t move out of my parents’ house, yet again.

Admittedly, there are reasons for this:

I still haven’t been able to find a job that will hire me, for whatever reason. I’ve been applying, and attending interviews, and getting turned down (again, for whatever reason!) and I just…

Yes.

It’s disheartening.

So that’s one thing.

I still haven’t learned to drive.

This is because of the not-having-a-job thing, because I can’t pay for the lessons, and because it’s hard to find a car I can fit into at this size.

If I could drive, it would mean I’d be able to take jobs further afield, and would also mean that I wouldn’t have to rely on public transport to get to whatever job I did get, and I would be able to travel when I moved out.

These are things that I’m hoping to at least attempt in the next year.

‘Cause they’re kind of, y’know.

Important.

Let's get social:

  1. I used to worry about getting/having all these things but now im just like it'll happen when it happens. My grandad used to say this thing "Whats for you wont go by you" You cant go to wrong with that 🙂

    1. Yeah, Mum says that, too. But mostly I'm just thinking how much more I can get done if I can drive, and that's something I really need to PUSH myself to do, y'know? MUST STOP BEING SCARED RE: DRIVING.
