So, if you’ve been following my blog for any length of time, you might remember when my little sister, Lorna, and my little brother-in-law, Matt, adopted their kittens, Byron and Cornelius. They were adorable, tiny little things.
I can’t remember if I mentioned it at the time, because Byron only shows up in that first entry, but when Lorna and Matt moved back to Canada, Byron unfortunately jumped out of a third floor window (I think it was third floor) and died. 🙁 So they were left with just Cornelius for a while.
Now they’ve adopted two other adorable cats, too, but two weeks ago, my gorgeous little furball of a kitty-nephew Candy Corn vomited up some blood, and Lorna and Matt had to rush him to the emergency vet in Montréal, where they found a hole in his stomach and a lot of scar tissue and they had to cut out a lot of his stomach 🙁 and there was some stupid screw-up with their credit line so they can’t get credit for the vet’s bills, and Lorna suffers from Agoraphobia so she can only work occasionally when she doesn’t have panic attacks, and Matt is working his butt off to look after the family, but basically:
They could really use some help with vet’s bills for my adorable cat-nephew. As we’re a family who are owned by animals (none of us have kids!), our animals are our family, and are exceptionally important to us. I’ve already donated as much as I possibly can right now, so I turn to you guys, and ask for your help: if you can donate $5, or $1, or $20, or whatever…
There are awesome perks available (check out the sidebar!) for specific donations, from Lorna, who is an excellent artist and crafter.
PLEASE consider donating to a worthy cause – my sister and brother-in-law have gone through a whole lot already, and this is just one more thing to add to their list of struggles.
Also, how can you resist that face?
