Weigh-in #2: January 8, 2013
Or: Thanks, body, I really needed my period right before my first weigh-in.

Okay, so 0.2lbs isn’t even a 1lb loss, but it’s still a loss. I’m swollen like a beached whale (a terrible comparison, but it’s true!) because I got my period yesterday, and everything feels swollen.
I swear, my nose feels swollen.
I hate my body sometimes.
Dear body: I am probably never going to have kids. Quit it with the reproductive drama every month!
TMI:
I actually had a dream where I was using a public toilet in school (yeah, I know, WHAT?!) and one of the teachers distracted me by talking to me, so I left blood and bloody toilet paper and a bloody tampon in the toilet, and when I went back to flush it, IT WAS BLOCKED SO IT WOULDN’T GO AWAY. And there were all these male teachers and male students milling around. No females at all.
Great. Female bodily function shaming even in my own dreams! JUST WHAT I NEED, BRAIN.

I’ve had a pretty good week, though. I’ve been going out for my wee walk every day, even if it is only the short walk (up to the post office and around the quick way to the shop and back home).
My eating still needs improvement, but I’m working on this. I was saying on Twitter (my own personal Twitter, not @iknowitsforreal) that I’m tempted to go back to that mostly Asian diet that I was following before: rice, chicken, fish and vegetables. Back when I was making my own 海苔巻き (nori-maki: the rolled kind with the seaweed on the outside, then rice, then filling).
It wasn’t primal or paleo because of the rice, but the rice and noodles were the only things, really, that weren’t. And even then, I know that, technically, the rice is supposed to be used as an accompaniment to a meal, and not as the main part.
But sushi rice is really, really expensive. It won’t happen this fortnight, and probably not next fortnight.
I’ve also got the worry about website hosting renewal coming up in April. This is my second year without advertisers/sponsors, and I’m not sure how I’m going to do it. It’s going to be tough.
I’m basically going to have a panic attack about it later on.
(If anyone ever wants to donate to my webhosting costs, you can do so here. Money goes directly into my Dreamhost account, and can’t be used for anything BUT my webhosting. :D)
And don’t forget there’s only one day left to enter the competition to win a year’s subscription to SlenderKitchen’s Meal Plans! Get your entry(ies) in before midnight tomorrow night for a chance to win!
