In Which Fatso Resists Temptation

When I went grocery shopping today, I went into the aisle with the honey and the maple syrup for… well, honey and maple syrup. Natural sweeteners.

The only problems is that the honey and maple syrup is in the aisle with Nutella, peanut butter and things like that. It’s right next to the aisle with the baked goods.

I walked to the next aisle, and I stood looking at a pack of four Snowballs, thinking, “I want you. I will buy you, and I will eat all four of you when I’m in my room, alone.”

I stood there, looking at the Snowballs, and I reached out for them…

And I didn’t take them.

I didn’t take anything that wasn’t on my original grocery list.

For a treat, I bought myself a honeydew melon.

I really, really wanted those Snowballs, but I’m doing this challenge, and I’m only four days in. I’m not gonna cave in already.

I saw that temptation, and I didn’t give in.

I’m pretty damn proud of that.

Plenty of willpower.

Zero excuses.

I’ve got this thing in the bag.

Well done that is awesome! I really have to make sure I go shopping when I'm not hungry otherwise the temptation is twice as bad :)

TOTALLY. I'm still craving them, though. But I won't give in! It's only another five weeks until the challenge is done. I CAN DO THIS. :D

Oh god, if I go shopping when I'm hungry, I end up leaving with easily 7,000+ calories of JUNK FOOD, and very little ACTUAL FOOD. It's ridiculous.

The only thing I’ve been tempted with so far is cheese. I love cheese! When I made burgers last week, I put spinach on top of mine and swiss cheese on top of hubby’s – um, it was all I could do not to take a bite of cheese!

    Here’s to a great week #2!

Thing is, I\’ve seen recipes in Paleo and Primal books that USE CHEESE. So don\’t feel too bad about it! (Also, didn\’t our ingredients list use Feta?)
