The Weight Watchers Weekly Weigh-In: January 19, 2016

-3lbs since December 8, 2015

Well, I’ve no real explanation for a 2lb gain, except for, “It might be last week catching up with me,” or, “I’m due my period sometime soon,” or, “Mercury’s in retrograde.”

To be honest, I’ve tracked everything I ate, I’ve gone swimming three times (I missed a day last week because of the parents being off work and the weather and all) and I never used a single one of my weekly points, but I used 12 of my 67 FitPoints… but on some days, I didn’t use all of my dailies.

(You can’t carry your dailies over, so I know that doesn’t count, but y’all know what I mean.)

Oh well. No sense in bitching about it or worrying. Just gotta move on and deal with it. Gonna see if I can do a few No Count days this week to boost weight loss. It’s been a while since I did No Count, so I’m gonna have to sit down tomorrow and read through the Eat booklet to really see which foods are on the No Count list.

But it’s all good. I’ll work it out!

  1. It’s so frustrating isn’t it? Since the end of November 2015 I keep losing and gaining the same 4 kilos again and again.
    I noticed on Instagram you had purchased a SP calculator. Does the UK WW app have a scanner where you scan the barcode of the product and it shows the SP? The Australian one does and if the food is not listed already you can enter the nutritional information from the side of the packet and it will calculate the SP for you.
    I really wanted to lose 20 kilos by the end of April this year but already am way behind on that goal. I’ve got so much to lose that I think it becomes overwhelming. I try to only concentrate on 5 kilo lots but find it difficult to do.
    Anyway best of luck, hope that the scales show a good loss next week.

    1. Ugh, sorry for taking so long to reply – lack of computer for so long was an absolute joke!

      The app does indeed have the barcode scanner, and the calculator if the food isn’t included. There are a few things I’m annoyed about with SmartPoints, including the lack of SP for takeaway foods – if I want to get Indian, or Chinese, then there aren’t SP values for things like curries at curry houses that aren’t chains, or Chinese curries or even the fried chicken balls that used to be really good value on Points. The Eating Out Book gives “suggestions”, such as eating Chicken Tikka, without sauce, to save on SP… ????!!!! And if I want to eat a curry?! How about Pointing some generic curries, and then letting us overguess some things? I don’t mind having to calculate things that aren’t in the app, when I have the nutritional information, but when it’s things like that, UGH. /mini-rant, sorry.

      I’m way, way behind everything I wanted to lose too, but *try* not to let it overwhelm you! Even when there are the inevitable ups and downs, just take it a week at a time, and don’t give up. 🙂
